New Haven Oak Spindle Mantle Clock
This is a beautiful white oak cased New Haven mantle clock with a spindle decoration below the dial. The case is in beautiful condition. The dial is original paint on zinc, however, there is moderate pealing of the paint especially in the 9-12 quadrant. The movement is an eight day time and strike. The dial dates this clock to the late 1800's or turn of the century. The movement has a between the plates alarm mechanism with a separate bell for the alarm. The hour strike is a coiled gong. The dimensions of this clock are 14" tall, 9.5" wide and 6" deep with a 5" dia. dial.
